The pictures can't really do justice to how beautiful and restful this place is but here we are enjoying the desert and having a wonderful weekend.

Begun in Aug 09 when Jenny Perkins left Manchester to join her husband John in Abu Dhabi. John took up the post of Provost at the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in June.The blog follows the triumphs and challenges of creating a new life in a foreign city, setting up home, learning to drive on the wrong side of the road, making friends and finding a job.
